The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 13, in charge of Anambra and Enugu States, South East Nigeria, Umar Muri, Thursday paid a working visit to the Anambra State Police Command.
The AIG met with officers and men of the State Command at Police headquarters, Amawbia.
AIG Muri who addressed the personnel enumerated the efforts of the Police hierarchy to bring sanity into the system, urging them to put in their best efforts to make success of their careers.
The top Police officer told Journalists that the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force is reshaping the security architecture and its operations to ensure safety of the people during the Ember months and in the coming electioneering season.
He is urging political actors in Anambra and Enugu States to play by the rules, as the Police take will take on any person constituting a breach of security and peace of the country.
The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Echeng Echeng, in a remark, notes the successes recorded in recent times by the operatives of the State Command over the activities of armed gunmen.
