Nigeria’s chief of air staff, Abubakar Sadique, has said newly reactivated L39ZA fighter aircraft will support the Nigerian AirForce in fighting insurgency in the country.
The chief of air staff said this in Kano at the handing over of 2 reactivated L39ZA to the Nigerian airforce.
The life extension program on the L39ZA Airfleet is conducted by the original equipment manufacturer Aero vodochody of Chad Republic with the support of Nigerian Airforce technicians.

Three other L39ZA fighter aircraft are undergoing periodic depot maintainance upgrade at a facility in Chad Republic and are expected back in the country by 3rd quarter of 2021.
