The Nigeria Airforce says it will deploy two Super Puma Helicopters to improve area surveillance and enhance firepower against insecurity in Cross River State especially around the Bakassi axis where militancy and other Crimes is on the increase.
Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, disclosed this on tuesday, when he handed over Two blocks of ten units of single officers quarters to senior personnel of the 305 special Mobility group in Calàbar, Cross River State, South-South Nigeria.
Represented by the chief of logistics, Air Chief Marshal Muhammed Yakubu, the Chief of Air Staff, said that the fighter helicopters would compliment the effort of the security operatives as part of the Airforce constitutional responsibilities.
Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, assured that the nation’s security agencies will crush Militancy,insurgency or banditry in any part of the country.
The Commander,305 Special Mobilty Group, Group Captain Abraham Sule,had earlier assured the Airforce Chief of Protecting of Nation’s territorial Integrity under his command.
Keys to the new building were later handed over to the beneficiaries in the presence of some military and Para-military commanders.
