Residents of Tirwun, a community in Bauchi State capital in North-East Nigeria are appealing to Governor Bala Mohammed to reconsider the road project abandoned by his predecessor, Mohammed Abdullahi.
The plea was made when members of the community embarked on self-help efforts to repair the road which construction work commenced at the end of administration of Governor Isa Yuguda in 2015. The road links the Tirwun community to the main road and the AIT Bauchi Broadcast Centre with the palace of the village head.

Due to the deplorable condition of the road, the community members came out with their children on Saturday morning to assist themselves.
While expressing confidence in the present administration that has undertaken various road projects across the state, the community reminded Governor Bala Mohammed about the importance of the road to them.
The community members are hopeful that, before the end of his tenure, Governor Mohammed will come to their aid by constructing the road which is not more than two kilometres.
