Following the assault On AIT Reporter by the Police Rapid response team in Bauchi, the Nigeria Police Bauchi state command has condemned the unprofessional conduct of the team.
In a statement released by the Police public relations officer Ahmed Wakil, the commissioner of Police Abiodun Sylvester has ordered the full payment of the medical bills of the victim Damina Yusuf as well as payment of all that he lost during the protest.

The statement added that a three-man committee has been set up to investigate the erring police officers.
The police commissioner Abiodun Sylvester equally orders the disbandment of the present squad, and that fresh officers with good track records will replace them.
