Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno has fired his Commissioner for Special Duties, Dr. Bassey Okon.

Sources, however, say that the sacked Commissioner was given the boot due to his unimpressive performance which did not go down well with the Governor.
Okon, who had held the position for three years, becomes the latest and most senior appointee of the Governor Eno administration to be relieved of his appointment after some personal aides had been sacked recently.
