Before the end of this year, the people of Akwa Ibom state should expect seven more healthcare centers to be commissioned to improve healthcare delivery in the state.

Governor Umo Eno made this known at the inauguration of a primary health care center in Nsit Ibom LGA of the state.

The people of Nsit Ibom LGA in Akwa Ibom state were in jubilant mood as they will no longer travel long distances to access primary healthcare facilities thanks to the completion of the ARISE Primary Health Care Center at Oboyo Ikot Ita.

At the commissioning of the facility, Governor Umo Eno hinted that more of such were almost ready.

Governor Eno tasked the people on safeguarding the facility which was a campaign promise fulfilled.

Commissioner for Health, Professor Augustine Umoh said the Governor deserves accolades for what he was doing in the health sector.

The commissioning of the ARISE Primary Healthcare Centre in Nsit Ibom LGA brings to three the number of commissioned health facilities so far with seven more expected before December 2024.
