Former President Goodluck Jonathan has commended Akwa Ibom state governor, Udom Emmanuel for his commitment to the health needs of his people.
Former President Jonathan gave the commendation at the commissioning of the reconstructed General Hospital at Ikot Ekpene in Akwa Ibom state.
Jonathan who praised Governor Udom Emmanuel over his achievements in the health sector said with the Covid 19 pandemic it was necessary to invest in healthcare.
Governor Udom Emmanuel, represented by his deputy, Moses Ekpo pointed out that his investment in health infrastructure was an indication of the premium he placed on healthcare.

In their goodwill messages, the President, Nigerian Medical Association, Innocent Ujah and others were enthused by the attention paid to the health sector by the governor.
So far, nine general hospitals in nine federal Constituencies of the state have been reconstructed and equipped with state of the art medical infrastructure and equipment.
