In Akwa Ibom state, luck has run out on four suspects for vandalizing power and telecommunications installations and illegal mining activities as they have been apprehended.
State Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Eluyemi Eluwade paraded the suspects before journalists in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital.
Vandalizing power installations has become a favourite past time for criminals in Akwa Ibom state as observed in the current trend of suspects arrested in the state by the state command of the NSCDC. According to the State Commandant, Eluwade Eluyemi, two suspects were arrested in Ikot Akpan Okop in Mkpat Enin LGA.

Eluwade also paraded suspects for illegal mining activities in Ibeno LGA
He condemned activities of vandals and illegal miners describing them as economic saboteurs.
All suspects are to be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
