Alagbe Gbemileke has emerged as the African Democratic Congress governorship candidate for Oyo State after securing 15,106 votes in the party primary.
Returning Officer Harrison Akporjaro announced the outcome in Ibadan, confirming that Alagbe polled the highest votes and was duly returned as the winner of the exercise.
In his acceptance, Alagbe extended a hand of unity to all other aspirants, urging them to set aside differences and work together to build a stronger party.
He said his goal was to make the ADC the most formidable political force in Oyo State and a party that voters could trust to deliver real change.
Meanwhile one of the aspirants Bisi Ilaka expressed disappointment with the conduct and outcome of the exercise and promised to challenge it before the appeal committee of the party
