Aliyu Ibrahim succeeds his father as Emir of Gaya

The Kano State Government has named Aliyu Ibrahim as the New Emir of Gaya Emirate.

The announcement was made by the Secretary to the Kano State Government, Usman Alhaji, at the Government House.

Aliyu Ibrahim’s emergence was made few days after the death of his father, Ibrahim Abdulkadir, the first Emir of the Gaya Emirate.

The announcement was made in the presence of four kingmakers of the Emirate.

Gaya Emirate is one of the four new emirates created by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje in 2019.
