The Federal High Court in Abuja, has ordered the arrest of a former Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Usman Jibrin, and two other officers over N1.5 billion money laundering charges preferred on them by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
The court issued the arrest warrant after hearing a motion exparte filed by counsel for the ICPC, Osuobeni Akponimisingha.
In the motion, the lawyer submitted that Usman Jibrin , Adam Yusuf, Ishaya Bauka who are the first to third defendants were investigated for allegations of money laundering and making false statements regarding diversion of funds into companies in which they allegedly had a stake.

The Lawyer prayed the court for a bench warrant against the respondents for the purpose of arresting and bringing them to court to defend themelves, after been granted administrative bail by the commission and have refused to show up for possible arraignment in court.
Other defendants in the suit are, Lahab integrated & Multi Services Limited, Gate Coast Properties International Limited and Ummays Hummayd Energy Ltd.
