Justice Joyce Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned to October 26, 2026, for ruling on a no-case submission filed by Nasir El-Rufai’s lawyer in the alleged phone-tapping case.
Abdulmalik adjourned the case after hearing arguments from the defence on the no-case submission and the counter filed by the Department of State Services, DSS.
Counsel to the DSS, Oluwole Aladedoye, had called two witnesses a DSS operative and legal practitioner Deji Adeyanju who testified about an alleged admission by El-Rufai in a national television interview concerning the alleged tapping of phone lines belonging to the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and an alleged breach of national security.
Justice Abdulmalik reserved ruling on the no-case submission for October 26, 2026.
