The opposition political party in Nigeria, Labour Party has condemned the abduction of its Anambra State Governorship candidate, Obiora Agbasimalo.
Briefing journalists in Abuja on Monday, National Chairman of the party, Julius Abure, decried the worsening spate of insecurity in the country.

The party lamented the abduction of its governorship candidate in the just concluded Anambra governorship election after 63 days of being held in captivity; despite huge ransom paid for his release.
The Labour party called on security agencies to intensify efforts to ensure the release of its candidate.
Obiora Agbasimalo was abducted on September 18, 2021, two days after his governorship campaign in Nnewi.
