In the Re-Run elections to determine who occupies the two Federal constituencies seats in the Federal House of Representatives for Anambra State, Southeast Nigeria, INEC has announced winners of the polls.
The candidate of the Young Progressives Party, YPP in the Nnewi North/Nnewi South/Ekwusigo Federal constituency rerun election, Peter Uzokwe was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Uzokwe defeated the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA by a slim margin in what observers have described as a fight of the political Titans.
Uzokwe of the YPP polled Twenty five thousand, five hundred and eighteen votes to defeat Elodimuo of APGA who scored twenty five thousand four hundred and twelve votes to win with difference of One hundred and six votes.

The Returning Officer for the election, Professor Charles Nweke declared the result in the early hours of Sunday, at the INEC collation office in Nnewi North Local Government Area.
In the Orumba North and South Federal constituency rerun election, the Returning Officer, Professor Gabriel Anene declared Chinwe Nnabuife, also of the Young Progressives Party, YPP, the winner of the contest conducted in the 16 polling units of Nanka Ward 1.
Nnabuife polled fourteen thousand, four hundred and seventy six votes to defeat other candidates in the election
