Okoye, however, said uncollected Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) kept in the fireproof cabinet were not affected by the blaze and no sensitive materials have been delivered to the local government, adding that the destruction appears to be linked to the attack on the nearby Nnobi police station.
he assured the people of Idemili South local government that contingency arrangements will be made to replace the materials and the presidential and national assembly elections will hold on 25 February 2023 as scheduled, to be followed two weeks later by the state house of assembly election.
