The Coalition of Civil Society Organizations has organised a one-day training for selected Community Based Organizations in Katsina State, on detecting and dealing with corruption.
The Chairman of the coalition, Abdulrahman Abdullahi, said the training became necessary, with the coming on board of the newly elected 34 local government executives in the state, who have already resumed work.
He expressed optimism that the training will also equip the participants with different strategies for detecting and fighting corruption, advocacy strategies for anti-corruption, as well as budget extraction skills which will enable them monitor and track the implementation of projects.
The training is a collaboration between the Coalition of Civil Society Organizations and the Aminu Kano Centre for Democratic Research and Training, Kano,
