The National Working Committee, NWC of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has suspended the former Governor of Enugu State and serving senator, Chimaroke Nnamani, and eight other chieftains over allegations of anti-party activities.
In a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba the party’s decision which is expected to take effect from Friday, January 20, 2023, follows an extensive review and consideration of the party’s affairs pursuant to the 2017 PDP constitution as amended.

The party’s NWC also suspended Chris Ogbu from Imo State and some of its members in Ekiti State over the same allegations of anti-party activities
The names of those suspended in Ekiti State including
1) Ayeni Funso of Ekiti North
2)Ajijola Lateef Oladimeji of Ekiti Central
3) Emiola Adenike Jennifer ( Ekiti South II)
4 Ajayi Babayunde Samuel ( Ekiti North)
5) Olayinka James Olalere ( Ekiti Central)
6) Akere Oluyinka ( Ekiti North)
7) Fayose Oluwajomiloju John
The party further urged all leaders and stakeholders to remain united and focused on the mission.
