Deputy National Chairman (North) of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ali Bukar Dalori is now the Acting Chairman of the ruling party following confirmation of the resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje on Friday.
A statement by Ac National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka says President Tinubu has directed Dalori to assume the position of Acting National Chairman pending the meeting of the National Executive Committee of the party to fill the vacancy created by Ganduje’s resignation.
The Presidential directive is however backed by the constitution of the party which states that the highest ranking officer of the NWC from same zone with the departing officer will automatically assume such position.

Morka stated that Ganduje’s resignation was offered to enable him attend to urgent and important personal matters.
Abdullahi Ganduje, who was a two-term Governor of Kano State assumed leadership of the APC in August 2023 following the resignation of his predecessor, Abdullahi Adamu.
