The National Appeal Committee for the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ward Congresses held in Katsina State, North-West Nigeria has submitted its report of “no-complaint”.

Chairman of the Appeal Committee, Yakubu Bashir led the 5-member committee alongside the Local Organising Committee to present the report to the State party leader, Governor Aminu Masari, at the Government House in Katsina.

Bashir said that, after submitting the report to the Governor, they will also submit a copy at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

According to him, right from their arrival to the time they submitted the report, there were no verbal or written complaints received from any member of the party.

The Appeal Committee Chairman noted that it is an indication that every member of the party in Katsina State is satisfied with the manner the ward congresses were conducted, and they are happy that the party leadership in the State has ensured fairness and harmony, among its members.

While receiving the report, Governor Masari thanked the National Appeal Committee for providing a fair avenue for any member possibly aggrieved by the process or outcome of the ward congresses, to register a complaint with the Committee.

He said as leader of the party in the State, he will continue to ensure that every member is carried along, to have a strong and united party, ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Meanwhile, the Caretaker Extra-Ordinary Convention Planning Committee, CECPC, of the party has tentatively fixed Local Government Congresses for the first week of September 2021.

The new timeline for the local government congress was disclosed in a statement by the Committee’s Secretary, Senator John Akpanudoedehe, in Abuja, on Friday.
