The crisis between the two factions in the Osun state chapter of The ruling All Progressives Congress APC, is taking a deadly dimension, as one of the factions loyal to the former governor and Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, has alleged that some people in the government of incumbent governor Gboyega Oyetola and other party stakeholders were planning to attack leaders of the group.
The alleged plan according to the members, has been reported to the security agencies for investigation.

Caretaker Secretary of the APC in the state, Rasaq Salinsile said that the leadership of his group decided to make the evil plan known to the public, to avoid casualties and break down of law and order.
But in his reaction, the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Kunle Oyatomi, described the allegations as baseless and untrue
Oyatomi noted that the group failed to substantiate their claims with verifiable facts and evidence, and called on the general public, to disregard the claims which he said, were designed at causing civil unrest in the state.
