The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, will hold a crucial emergency meeting on Monday ahead of its caucus and NEC meetings scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
While the agenda of the meeting has not been made public, there are strong indications that the purported resignation of the National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, and the Secretary Iyiola Omisore will dominate discussions.
Adamu and Omisore have been in the eye of the storm with a section of the NWC referring to the two key officers as “garrison commanders”
Pressure has been mounting in the past weeks with calls for the resignation or sack of the two officers by the party’s NEC.

The controversial audited account of the party that will be presented to the National Executive Committee on Wednesday will also take centre stage at today’s NWC meeting as the control for the heart of the party intensifies.
Today’s NWC meeting will be far-reaching and will be pivotal to the next move of the leadership of the party.
