Protests have continued within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, as party members express dissatisfaction over the alleged imposition of National Assembly candidates ahead of the elections.
The protesters, mostly youths from the Ondo East/Ondo West Federal Constituency Carrying placards with various inscriptions on Wednesday morning questioned why candidates who emerged victorious in the party’s primary election were allegedly excluded from the final list.
They appealed to the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC to urgently intervene and resolve the matter, warning that failure to do so could deepen internal divisions and threaten the party’s unity in the constituency and across the state.
The protesters insisted that due process and internal democracy must prevail in the selection of the party’s candidates.
