A silent storm seems to be gathering in the Plateau State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC as the recent appointments by President Bola Tinubu seem to have upset the order of things in the state chapter of the party.
Some APC elders in Plateau State and the state leadership of the party seem to be on a war path following certain developments in the polity.

Trouble started when some party stalwarts, notably former Governor, Joshua Dariye, former Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen, and a host of others, paid a congratulatory visit to Senator George Akume on his appointment as Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
This visit, however, didn’t go down well with the powers that be in the state chapter of the party. They saw the visit as a mockery as the immediate past governor of the state, Simon Lalong who was also said to be in the contest to be appointed SGF
Former Jos North-Bassa House of Representatives member, Lumumba Daadeh, who was among the elders who went on the visit, criticised the party leadership in the state for mulling plans to suspend the elders, saying they would have invested time in uniting the party in the state.
With the APC having lost the seat of power in Plateau State and with accusations of anti-party activities, this episode might just be the beginning of a mightier storm.
