With few weeks to the commencement of the general elections, all seem not to be well with the ruling All Progressive Congress APC in Plateau as two factions are now laying claim to the Party’s leadership after the Ishaya Itse faction reopened it’s case in court, insisting to be recognized as the authentic EXCO.
While the Rufus Bature faction insist all Mater’s has been settled, the Itse Faction said they were left with no option after the collapse of the out-of-court settlement.

Ishaya Itse who insists on being the factional chairman of APC in the state said the failure of the Rufus Bature-led exco to honour its part of the bargain in the aftermath of the 2021 state Congress is the reason they are back in court.
Itse, who has given the Rufus Bature faction two weeks to vacate the party secretariat, said his exco is poised for a showdown as their struggle is for a better Plateau state.
When contacted, the spokesman for the Rufus Bature faction, Sylvanus Naamang refuted the claims saying the matter has already been settled out of court.
Perhaps the coming days will no doubt be interesting with this development as it remains to be seen how the ruling APC on the Plateau will handle this crisis in addition to the already Primary election and Delegates Matters in the court with barley few weeks to the commencement of the 2023 general elections.
