The Rivers State All Progressives Congress (APC) screening committee for House of Assembly aspirants has concluded its exercise, with ninety-eight candidates appearing before the panel.
The Chairman of the committee, Mariam Ajibola, told journalists in Port Harcourt that the two-day process was both peaceful and orderly.
The Committee Chairman, Mauriana Ajibola, represented by the Secretary, Yamowa Tanko, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the candidates, noting that the entire exercise followed due process.
In their reactions, some of the aspirants commended the committee’s transparency, stating that the panelists showed no bias toward any individual or internal faction.
With the screening now concluded, the aspirants remain in high spirits as they await the official publication of the committee’s findings.
