Six directors at the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, APC have been suspended by the Abdullahi Adamu-led National Working Committee of the party.
The Directorates affected are Finance, Legal Administration, Publicity, Welfare and Organisation.
The action follows the recommendation of a Transition Committee instituted by the Adamu-led National Working Committee immediately after its inauguration.
Abdullahi Adamu had hinted of a probe of the National Secretariat on assumption of duty.
One of the reasons given in the recommendations of the Directors sack by the Transition Committee is the alleged high level corruption at the National Secretariat.
For instance, it was alleged that the Adams Oshiomhole-led National Working Committee had left over N20 billion in the coffers of the party before the Governor Mai Mala Buni-led Caretaker Extra-Ordinary Convention Planning Committee, CECPC held sway for almost two years.
The party’s account was said to be empty when the current National Working Committee took over after the March 26 National Convention.
The Transition Committee has blamed the Directors for the financial recklessness and high level corruption.
ait.live gathered that another reason advanced for the suspension of the Directors is the lack of fairness in the spread of Directorates to all the geo-political zones.
There were two Directors who hail from the North-West State of Kano alone before the latest action.
There are strong indications that the services of the Directors will be terminated in the coming days.
