The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has won all the Chairmanship and Councillorship positions in Saturday’s Local Government Election.
Declaring the results at its headquarters in Makurdi, the Chairman of Benue State Independent Electoral Commission BSEIC, Terlumun Tombowua, announced that the APC won all 23 Chairmanship and 276 Councillorship elections held in the state.

According to the BSEIC Chairman 5 out of the 8 accreditated political parties participated in Saturday’s election.
He speaks of an incident in Otukpo Local Government Area that was later resolved.
Certificates of return will be presented to the winners later today.
