Army Will Continue The Fight Until Terrorists Are Defeated – COAS

The Nigerian Army says it will continue to push towards the final defeat of the country’s adversaries, and until every part of Nigeria is safe.

Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, gave this assurance, during a Special Easter Luncheon for troops of Operation Whirl Punch in Rigana, Kaduna State, Northwest Nigeria.

The Chief of Army Staff’s Special Easter Luncheon for troops at Forward Operating Base, FOB Rigana, aimed to appreciate their sacrifices, loyalty, and commitment towards addressing insecurity in the country.

In addition to showing appreciation to the troops, the luncheon was also intended to encourage them to continue their efforts, until there is no safe haven for the nation’s adversaries.

Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, in a message conveyed by the GOC 1 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Mayirenso Saraso, thanked the troops for their resilience in tackling the nation’s security challenges.

He reiterated his commitment to prioritising the welfare of officers, soldiers and the families of departed colleagues.

The Army Chief further urged personnel to uphold the values of love and peace while discharging their constitutional responsibilities.
