ASUP to continue agitations for improved learning environment in Nigeria

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, Federal Polytechnic Bida Chapter says, it will continue to pursue their agitations for improved learning environment across the country.

The Chairman of Federal Polytechnic, Bida Chapter, Abubakar Danasbe, disclosed this in an interview with ait.live in his office.

The union over the years had engaged governments in discussions, on how to improve the decaying learning environment in states and federal polytechnics across the country.

Abubakar Danasbe expressed with concern, the level at which teaching and learning are taking place in the higher institutions.

He pointed out some of the lingering issues that has led to the ongoing strike

The chairman also emphasized on the importance of Technical Education to the nation.

Some of the students expressed their feelings on the industrial action by the Lecturers.

The striking Polytechnic Lecturers assure the public that they will be ready to go back to work, once their demands are met.
