The academic staff union of universities, ASUU, has extended its expired one month warning strike by another 2 months.
A statement by ASUU President at the end of its National Executive Council meeting in Abuja, The lecturers say government’s implementation of the 2020 FGN/ASUU Memorandum of Action has not been satisfactory.

Some items in the MOA include funding of public universities both Federal and Sate, renegotiation of 2009 FGN/ASUU Agreement, Earned Allowances, withheld salaries and deployment of the University Transparency and Accountability Solution, UTAS, in place of the integrated payroll and personnel information system, IPPIS.
ASUU Says government’s disposition in the last four weeks has shown a non-challant mindless attitude of the Nigerian ruling elite towards education development.
