The National Union of Benue State Students (NUBESS) in collaboration with other students’ unions in the state, have given the Federal Government fourteen days (14) ultimatum to settle its differences with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
According to the NUBESS National president, Comrade Injorovkaa Gaius, failure to end the prolonged industrial action within this period will be followed by massive protests by the students.
It has been an endless wait for a resolution to the industrial action by the academic staff union of universities ASUU which has grounded academic activities in institutions for over 5 months making most students completely run out of patience.
These executives of the national union of Benue State students and other student unions are particularly worried that the impasse has lingered far too long affecting students adversely.

Beyond the students, the industrial action has equally taken its toll on the staff of the institutions both academic and non alike as well as trading or commercial activities on the various campuses.
This call for the striking unions and the Federal government to shift grounds in the interest of the Nigerian students is one all concerned parties should address in the overall good of the country.
