The lingering ASUU strike and a recent comment by President Buhari calling on the lecturers to call off the strike has generated reactions from some Nigerians.
They say the president has failed in his responsibility hence he lacks the right to challenge ASUU to return to the classrooms without addressing the contending issues.
Respondents who spoke noted that the nonchalant attitude of government towards education in the country is worrisome and are afraid of what becomes the fate of many Nigerian students.
They say the country has the resources to provide qualitative education if those at the helm of affairs are committed to doing what is right.
Their plea is for government to look inward to avert further crises that may further destroy the educational system.
For now stakeholders are hoping and praying for a lasting resolution to enable Nigerian students pursue their future.
