The students wing of the Coalition of Northern Group has said that drastic actions will soon be taken that would attract both national and international attention if the Federal Government fails to address the lingering strike of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.
The group through its leader, Comrade Jamilu Charanchi, made this known in Bauchi, during its meeting.
It accused the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, of playing double standard on issues of ASUU with their unexplained silence to resume the three days of nationwide solidarity protests, after the expiration of the two weeks ultimatum for government to resolve the university strike.

According to the group, the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has failed to keep to its promise and they will not hesitate to champion the struggle.
The students reminded stakeholders in the education sector that the struggle could take an unpleasant turn if nothing is done to get Nigerian universities open.
