The All Progressives Congress, APC National Organizing Secretary Sulaiman Argungu says the kebbi state governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, are among the top six contenders for the vice-presidential slot to replace who he referred to as”Dummy” submitted to INEC.
Argungu said this at a news briefing at the Government House, Birnin kebbi.
He noted that there was no law in APC Constitution or the national statutes that barred candidates of the some faith vying for the office of president or vice-president adding that for the sake of equity and political balance, the APC has imbibed the principle of North and South consideration for those steering the affairs of the country.

He maintained that voter strength have shown that the North-West zone has the highest votes nationwide in previous elections that would be taken into consideration.
Suleiman Argungu was emphatic that for the APC to secure victory in the 2023 presidential election, the party will consider a Muslim – Muslim ticket to triumph at the polls.
