Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar will undertake a tour of the states affected by flooding across the six geo-political zones of Nigeria from Tuesday next week.
Media Adviser to the former Vice President, Paul Ibe who made this known in a statement obtained by AIT.live explained that the visit to flood ravaged communities and intervention to flood victims will begin with a visit to Bayelsa State, South-South Nigeria.

The statement said the assessment tour will afford the PDP presidential candidate the opportunity to have on-sight and first hand knowledge of the flood situation in order to enable him include the ecological concerns in his policy document.
Atiku had made a donation to flood victims in Jigawa, Yobe and Kano States following the devastating impact of flash flood in the areas. The PDP standard bearer was also the first presidential candidate to speak on the issue with calls for an immediate evacuation of those residing in flood prone communities.
