Authorities in Plateau State, North-Central Nigeria have confirmed fresh outbreak of Cholera in Pankshin Local Government Area which has killed one person while several others hospitalised.
This was disclosed by the Information Officer of the Council, Jacqueline Dakat, in a statement on Saturday.

According to her, authorities at the Local Government Council have dispatched a team of medical personnel to attend to the victims to curtail further spread of the disease following the outbreak.
Dakat, further disclosed that the Water and Sanitation Department in collaboration with the Primary Health Care Department of the Council have been ordered to take proactive measures to avert further spread and quarantine victims who are most likely to spread the Cholera disease.
Efforts to speak to the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Kuden Kamshak, on the matter were unsuccessful after several calls.
