The Federal Government has been urged to step up the onslaught against terror groups killing and destroying innocent people and their properties in Zamfara and other parts of the North-Western States.
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Zamfara State, Abdullahi Shinkafi, made the call while briefing journalists in Gusau, the state capital, condemning what he described as the barbaric and senseless slaughter of 38 kidnapped victims by bandits, for their inability to pay ransom.

Shinkafi advised Governor Dauda Lawal to maintain his earlier stance of not negotiating with criminals, adding that the bandits cannot be trusted, citing past negotiations in which the terrorists failed to live up to the terms of the peace dialogue.
