The delegation later paid a condolence visit to both Emirs of Katsina and Daura over the recent bandits’ attacks where two traditional rulers and scores of citizens were killed.
The Emir of Katsina, Abdulmuminu Usman, who spoke on behalf of Emir of Daura Umar Faruq, thanked the delegation for the visit, tasking them to redouble efforts towards securing lives and property of the people.
He, however, blamed the resurgence of banditry on the people’s lack of discipline as he said, some locals still give information to the bandits.
The Emir also handed the delegation a message to President Muhammadu Buhari warning him about some persons in his cabinet that want to undermine his successes, calling on journalists to always be objective in their reportage.
