Some residents of Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State and other neigbouring communities have held special prayers begging Allah to intervene for them against relentless bandit attacks.
The residents on Sunday converged on Ahmadu Attahiru Secondary School, where special prayer session was held.
The Special prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Kagara, Sheikh Aliyu Raya.
Muslims, young and old, male and female in large number turned up for the prayer.
A prominent member of the community said the prayer session was initiated by the people who he said are delighted at the impact of the spiritual intervention.
According to him, attacks on the people have reduced drastically since the prayer session began.

Government’s efforts to curtail the menace of the bandits, kidnappers and cattle rustlers has not yielded the desired results.
Rafi Local Government Area is one of the worst hit, following attacks by armed bandits, cattle rustlers and kidnappers.
