Suspected bandits who abducted the traditional ruler of Panyam, in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State Da Aminu Derwan, have demanded the sun of N150 Million as ransom before he will be released.
A Family Source who disclosed the development to ait.live on Tuesday in Jos but does not want his name mentioned said the abductors contacted confirmed that they had him and demanded a ransom of N150 million.
According to the family source, they are still talking with them, hoping that they’ll reduce the ransom or release him on compassionate grounds.
The Paramount Ruler who is the fifth Monarch kidnapped in Plateau within the last six months was abducted in his palace on Monday by a group of armed bandits who stormed the community at about 1:30 am shooting sporadically and causing tension and fear in the locality.
The state Police Command through it’s Spokesman DSP Alfred Alabo, however, said the combined tactical team deployed to the area are still working hard to find the perpetrators of the heinous act and rescue the Monarch.
