Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has charged the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 12, comprising Bauchi and Gombe States, to deploy modern strategies for addressing insecurity in the states.
The governor gave the charge when he received the newly posted AIG Zone 12, at the Bauchi State Government House.
Bauchi State is identified as one of the states that is relatively peaceful in the country.
However, some local government areas of the state recently witnessed some pockets of attacks and abductions by some suspected miscreants.
The development has prompted Governor Bala Mohammed, to quickly call on the AIG Zone 12, to apply strategies that would help fish out the perpetrators.
As the state is open to investments and other commercial activities, Governor Bala Mohammed enjoined the AIG to mount his personnel at flashpoints across the state.
The newly posted AIG assured of his readiness to make positive changes in dealing with crimes and criminality in the state.
The governor informed the AIG that a full-fledged ministry of security and internal affairs has been established, in a bid to complement the efforts of security agents in the state.
