Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has approved minor adjustments to the composition of the State Executive Council as part of efforts to strengthen governance and improve service delivery across the state.
The development was contained in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.
As part of the changes, the Commissioner for Commerce, Industries and Investment, Mohammed Gamawa, and the immediate past Commissioner for Education, Dr. Mohammed Zayam, who was later reassigned to the Ministry of Power, Science and Technology, have exited the State Executive Council with immediate effect.
The Governor also accepted the resignation of the former Commissioner for Rural Development and Special Duties, Faruk Mustapha.

The statement added that the names of proposed replacements, alongside other nominees to fill existing vacancies in the cabinet, have been forwarded to the Bauchi State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
Governor Mohammed expressed appreciation to the outgoing commissioners for their service and contributions to the development of the state and wished them success in their future endeavours.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building a more responsive, effective, and results-oriented government for the benefit of the people of Bauchi State.
