Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has launched the 2023 farming season and sale of fertilizer, with a call on farmers to adhere strictly to the forecast by the Nigerian Metrological Agency to enable them to achieve a bumper harvest after the rains.
The flag-off ceremony was performed in the Katagum Local Government Area of the state, with all relevant stakeholders in the state.

Governor Mohammed called on traditional leaders to work with government officials toward addressing the problem of hoarding and diversion of fertilizer.
In their separate remarks, Bauchi State Commissioner for Agriculture, Jidauna Tula Mbami, and the Emir of Katagum, Umar Faruk II, appreciated the governor for paying the desired attention to agriculture and urged the farmers to make good use of the farming inputs.
Bauchi is one of the states to experience low rainfall, as predicted by the Nigerian Metrological Agency, NIMET.
