Worried about the deteriorating state of insecurity affecting some local government areas of Bauchi State in North-East Nigeria, Governor Bala Mohammed has ordered Local Council Chairmen to fish out the perpetrators.
The Governor gave the directive during a security meeting held at the Government House, Bauchi.

The meeting focused on land speculation, local government autonomy and insecurity which mostly affected the Local Government Areas of Toro, Ningi, Dass and Tafawa Balewa.
During the meeting, Governor Mohammed expressed concern over manner some government officials, as well as traditional rulers within the State, have been conniving with bad elements to truncate the relative peace being enjoyed by the people.
He assured of his administration’s commitment to protecting the lives and properties of the citizenry.
On the issue of deforestation which is badly affecting the environment, the Governor charged Council Chairmen to ensure they fish out the perpetrators, to face the full wrath of the law and to serve as a deterrent to others, with similar intentions.
The meeting had in attendance, all the 20 Local Government Chairmen, Commissioners Of Local Government And Chieftaincy Affairs, Housing And Environment, as well as Culture and Tourism, with their key officers.
