Bauchi Police Says it used Modern Technology to arrest three suspected Kidnappers in different locations in Plateau and Jigawa States.
In a statement issued by the Public relations officer of the Command, Ahmed Wakili, on 7th march 2024, a report of kidnapping threats was reported by one Yahaya Adamu from Badakoshi Bauchi LGA to Anti kidnapping Unit, that an anonymous individual called him on phone threatening him to produce the sum of Five Million Naira. N5.000,0000 or risk mobilising his gang to kidnap him or his Family. He later sent a POS account to him belonging to a Business man in Plateau State.
The Statement added that, under the directives of the Bauchi state Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa the Criminal Investigation Department began investigation into the report using Modem Technology Which resulted in the arrest of three suspects, namely, Hardo Adamu 35 years old, Aliyu Saidu 40 years old and Musa Umaru 35 years old all arrested in different locations in Plateau and Jigawa states respectively.
Police says, the first suspect, Haro Adamu was arrested in the process of collecting the ransom from the point of sale POS Business man situated at Kurkwai village in shandam LGA Plateau state.
According to the statement, investigation was conducted and the suspect voluntarily confessed to the alleged Criminal act.
According to the Police, all aforementioned suspects Will be charged to court for prosecution.
