Following some politically motivated attacks, allegedly masterminded by the APC Governorship Candidate Campaign Train in some parts of Bauchi State, a group of lawyers in the state have given a forty-eight hour notice to the Police to wake up to their constitutional and statutory responsibility and make their findings public.

This was disclosed during a Press Conference, organized by a group of lawyers in Bauchi State.

Akuyam and Duguri are two Districts in the Misau and Alkaleri Local Government Areas of Bauchi State that recorded loss of lives, during the campaign rally of the APC Governorship Candidate in the areas.

The issue has become a topic of discussion across the state and beyond, which has prompted the group of Concerned Lawyers in Bauchi State to condemn the alleged attacks carried out by the APC Governorship Candidate.

The group called on the Police and other security agents to investigate the matter and make their findings public, for the law to take its cause.

Efforts to reach the Bauchi State Police Command proved abortive, as the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Ahmed Wakili, did not respond to the phone calls put across regarding the issue.

Recall that the APC Governorship Candidate, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar Retired, denied the allegations, saying it was his campaign train that was attacked by political thugs, to disrupt his campaign activities.
