In a bid to address the incessant robberies and attacks on some students and school facilities at Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi, the Acting Rector of the polytechnic, Hashim Bello, has reiterated the institution’s readiness to provide its security personnel with state of the art gadgets and basic operational techniques, for effective service delivery.
The Acting Rector made the commitment during the opening ceremony of a three-day seminar currently holding at the Polytechnic.

According to the management of the institution, the move was informed by the report of incessant robberies and student harassment at the Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi, by some unidentified miscreants, in and around the institution.
At the event, the Acting Rector, Hashim Bello, said this unfortunate situation has brought about discomfort in the polytechnic community, hence the need to prepare the security personnel with the needed training and gadgets, to enhance their operations.
Hashim Bello hopes that with the training, the security personnel will better understand their challenges, and provide effective solutions, that will help in guaranteeing the safety and security of the campus.
Other speakers at the event advised the trainees to take full advantage of the opportunity and put what they have learned into practice.
