Bauchi Residents protests Kidnapping and insecurity

The residents of Birshi Fulani in Bauchi State, have blocked motorists plying the federal highway, as they protested against incessant insecurity and series of kidnappings in the area.

They are also urgently demanding for government intervention.

Birshi Fulani Bayara communities have become major flashpoints of series of attacks by unknown gunmen, as well as kidnapping while demanding outrageous ransom.

An eyewitness informed ait.live that last night, suspected kidnappers stormed the area and forcefully abducted a pregnant woman in her house.

Recall that on the 4th of September, suspected gunmen killed a staff of the Federal Polytechnic in the same community, about 150 meters away from the house where the pregnant woman was abducted.

Police Commissioner Sylvester Alabi, confirmed the incident to Journalist at the command headquarters, saying the police is on top of the situation.
