Bauchi State LP chapter just like the national leadership of the party, has been in crisis for a period of time, with two factions claiming the state chairmanship position.
This group claims they are the legitimate state executives of the party, in which they disassociated themselves from the recent media conference held by a group under the aegis of 19 Northern Chairmen and Secretaries of the Labour Party in Bauchi State.
The group alleged that those who spoke on behalf of the Northern Labour Party Executives had been expelled by the party due to their anti-party activities.
According to them, Bauchi State and other northern LP state chapters are solidly behind the National Working Committee, headed by its National Chairman, Julius Abure.
